Final Exam Part Three
In this picture, the main compositional element is Rule Of Thirds. The photographer achieved this by placing the subject on the edge of the frame, the subject becomes an off center focus of then picture. This creates a dramatic effect. |
The element in this picture is leading lines and rule of thirds. The photographer achieved this by showing off where this path leads, because the is on line on the right side of the picture this effect is possible. For the ruler of thirds, the subject (woman) is on the outer right side of the picture. As if the picture as cut into thirds. |
The elements in the picture are ruler of thirds and depth of field. This is made by placing the male soldier on the part of the picture. He is off center thus making the picture more dramatic. Also, the photographer achieved depth of field by blurring the background, giving the subject a more 3-D feel. |
The element in this photograph is simplicity. The photographer achieved this by putting the subject (the man) agains a completely neutral background. This puts all the attention on the man. |
Final Exam Part Two

Self Portrait And Portraits Review
Top three tips for shooting a self portrait!
- Set timer high and use burst
- Let the environment play a role
- Use hobbies and past times as a theme
Environmental Portraits
I like these portraits because they capture emotions. The first one on the left captures sorrow and pain. The second one captures grace and power perfectly.
Casual Portraits
I like these pictures because they portray a nice human emotion with nice backgrounds.
Formal Portraits
I like these pictures because they are well taken, very professional.
Self Portraits
I like these self portraits because they pay attention to the details, they are simply beautiful.
Self Portrait Assignment Ideas
I want to make a true self portrait and use myself as the subject, I want to shoot somewhere with a lot of flowers, or maybe a really urban setting. I'm not sure what I'll do to make the shot successful yet, but I know for sure that I want my portrait to be in black and white. I want to use a tripod if at all possible.

Caption Writing: 5 Ws and H
Following the massacre of his 2500 fellow North Koreans, Ok Son Kwan, decided to, on his own, stop the North Koreans from invading South Korea on Sept. 22, 2017. At the North South Korean Border, Kwan stands in front of a fleet of North Korean Tanks in a defiant act of love and hatred to scream at the North Koreans to go home. Kwan was then curtly, blown off the face of the world with the tank's artillery. |
The United States Government are some of the most powerful people in the world, but even they need a break once in while. Here they are seen watching the Super Bowl XLVII. The game was played on February 3, 2013. At the White House, the members of the US government anxiously watch as the Ravens make a run towards the end zone. Upon the Ravens' victory, President Obama jumped up and down and kissed Hilary Clinton. |

The pupil.
The smaller the Aperture the higher the f-number, the higher the Aperture the smaller the f-number.
The aperture can either make a background blurry and the main subject completely focused, or it can put everything in focus. IT controls the depth of field.

Great Black And White Photographers Part 3
The strength and message behind the pictures are what caught my eye.
- I see shadows. I see fluttering darkness, and dark secrets. I see human pain and suffering, but in a dark and beautiful way.
- I smell roses. I smell a musty cellar.
- I hear cries and a rambling river. I hear the rustling of intertwined roses against a lazy breeze.
- I taste disgustingly sweet perfume for some reason. I also taste cool refreshing water.
- I feel a rose's thorns and human skin. I also felt a raw human emotion. Perhaps it is pain, this picture invokes many feelings.
- I would like to create perhaps make a poster in honor of the photographer.
